Distilled in 1977 and matured for over three decades before its release in 2012 as part of Diageo's prestigious Special Releases, this legendary 35-year-old single malt represents a pinnacle of Isle of Skye whisky-making. Aged in a combination of refill American oak and European oak casks, it captures the wild, tempestuous spirit of the Cuillin Hills and the salty Atlantic winds that sweep over the Carbost distillery. Founded in 1830 by brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill on the windswept shores of Loch Harport in Carbost, Talisker is the oldest operating distillery on the Isle of Skye.
