Released as part of Diageo's 'Elusive Expressions' series, this single malt pays homage to the legendary sea creatures said to inhabit the deep, dark waters surrounding the distillery. Matured in first-fill ex-bourbon and double-singed oak casks, it captures the classic, untamed spirit of Skye. The nose opens with maritime sea breeze, bonfire smoke, and sweet orchard fruits, leading to a palate of intense peat, brine, and Talisker's signature fiery black pepper finish. This cask-strength release showcases the distillery's traditional worm-tub condensation method, which imparts a rich, oily texture that beautifully balances its smoky intensity.
