Distilled on the rugged shores of the Isle of Skye, this exceptional single malt spends a quarter of a century aging in a combination of American and European oak casks. Over these twenty-five years, the fierce, tempestuous peat smoke and fiery black pepper characteristic of Talisker's youth are gently tamed by the sea air, transforming into an elegant, complex symphony of coastal brine, sweet beeswax, gentle peat, and dried fruit. Founded in 1830 by brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill on the windswept shores of Loch Harport in Carbost, Talisker is the oldest operating distillery on the Isle of Skye.
