✨ Technical Specifications

Talisker 25 Year Old is a masterclass in the art of slow, maritime maturation. Distilled on the rugged shores of the Isle of Skye, this exceptional single malt spends a quarter of a century aging in a combination of American and European oak casks. Over these twenty-five years, the fierce, tempestuous peat smoke and fiery black pepper characteristic of Talisker's youth are gently tamed by the sea air, transforming into an elegant, complex symphony of coastal brine, sweet beeswax, gentle peat, and dried fruit. The distillery's historic use of wooden worm tubs and unique U-shaped wash stills imparts a rich, oily texture that carries this sophisticated flavor profile beautifully, culminating in a long, warming finish that whispers of Skye's dramatic cliffs and crashing waves.

🍾 About the Producer

Founded in 1830 by brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill on the windswept shores of Loch Harport in Carbost, Talisker is the oldest operating distillery on the Isle of Skye. The distillery is celebrated for its unique distillation setup, featuring swan-neck wash stills and traditional outdoor worm tubs, which impart a signature maritime and volcanic intensity to the new-make spirit. Today part of Diageo's Classic Malts portfolio, Talisker maintains an uncompromising dedication to crafting robust, peated single malt Scotch whiskies. Its flagship style is revered across the globe for its harmonious interplay of coastal salinity, rich peat smoke, dried fruit richness, and an unmistakable fiery black pepper finish.
