Crafted by the esteemed micro-négoce house of Tardieu-Laurent, this red bottling celebrates the dramatic, sun-drenched hillside ('coteaux') terroirs of the southern French landscape. Michel and Bastien Tardieu apply their rigorous sourcing philosophy here, partnering with dedicated growers who tend to low-yielding, old vines planted on steep, stony slopes. These challenging hillside sites force the vine roots deep into the limestone and clay subsoils, yielding fruit of remarkable concentration, thick skins, and vibrant acidity. In the cellar, the wine undergoes a thoughtful maturation process using a combination of seasoned and new French oak casks, a signature technique of the house that polishes the rustic intensity of the southern fruit. The resulting wine is a beautifully structured, expressive red that captures the wild, herb-scented essence of the Mediterranean hillsides, balanced by the refined elegance and seamless texture that defines the Tardieu-Laurent style.

Maison Tardieu-Laurent blev grundlagt i 1994 af Michel Tardieu og Dominique Laurent og er en prestigefyldt mikro-négociant med base i den maleriske landsby Lourmarin i det sydfranske Luberon. I dag drives huset af Michel Tardieu og sønnen Bastien, som sammen fungerer som en exceptionel 'négociant-éleveur'. De udvælger udelukkende druer og unge vine af absolut højeste kvalitet fra meget gamle vinstokke i Rhône-dalens bedste crus. Huset er berømt for sin kompromisløse respekt for terroiret og den traditionelle élevage, hvor vinene modnes tålmodigt på specialfremstillede franske egetræsfade uden hverken klaring eller filtrering. Tardieu-Laurent nyder stor international anerkendelse for sine rige, koncentrerede og strukturede vine med et enestående lagringspotentiale – lige fra ikoniske appellationer som Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Hermitage og Cornas til den anmelderroste Côtes du Rhône, Les Becs Fins.
