✨ Technical Specifications
Cultivated on hillside plots characterized by calcareous marl and stony alluvial soils, this Amarone relies on hand-harvested clusters dried for three to four months via traditional appassimento in dedicated fruttai. Following desiccation and slow winter fermentation on skins in stainless steel, the wine undergoes maturation in large Slavonian oak casks for a minimum of two years, imparting density while preserving distinct dried red-fruit profile.
🍾 About the Producer
Terre di Verona represents a dedicated estate range from Cantine di Verona, a renowned cooperative group tracing its roots to the 1958 founding of Cantina Valpantena. Situated in the undulating foothills northeast of Verona, the vineyards thrive across limestone-rich marl and alluvial gravel soils, cooled by alpine breezes funneling down from the Monti Lessini. Guided by longtime director and winemaker Luca Degani alongside group president Luigi Turco, the cooperative enforces sustainable vineyard practices under certified SQNPI protocols. In the cellar, Terre di Verona marries classic Veronese viticultural traditions with cutting-edge temperature-controlled stainless steel vinification and extended aging in large oak casks. The lineup is headlined by benchmark regional expressions, including an opulent Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG and a velvety Valpolicella Ripasso DOC crafted from traditional Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes, alongside crisp, mineral-etched interpretations of Pinot Grigio and Valpolicella Superiore.
