It is matured exclusively for a minimum of eighteen years in hand-picked, sherry-seasoned oak casks sourced from Jerez, Spain. This maturation process imparts a natural dark mahogany color and a flavor profile characterized by dried fruits, ginger, toasted oak, and spices. The distillation utilizes Macallan's signature curiously small copper pot stills, which contribute to a rich, oily, and robust new-make spirit before it enters the wood.
