Hailing from the sun-drenched Bugeac Steppe in southern Moldova, a historic frontier land whose winemaking roots stretch back to antiquity, this Cabernet Sauvignon captures the wild, warm essence of its terroir. The Bugeac region, characterized by fertile chernozem soils and a semi-arid microclimate with hot summers, provides an ideal environment for red grape varieties to achieve optimal phenolic ripeness. Tomai crafts this wine to showcase the intense, fruit-forward character of the region, combining traditional maceration with modern temperature-controlled fermentation. Legend has it that the unique winds sweeping across the Bugeac plains temper the summer heat, preserving a vital vein of acidity in the grapes that balances the wine's natural richness and structured, velvety tannins.

Det historiske moldoviske vinhus Tomai (Tomai-Vinex) blev grundlagt i 1903 og har hjemme i landsbyen Tomai i den solbeskinnede sydlige region Gagauzien. Med over et århundredes vinmagerarv i ryggen forener ejendommen stolte vindyrkningstraditioner med moderne vinifikation for at indfange den gavmilde varme og det frugtbare terroir i det sydlige Moldova.
