✨ wine.spec_sheet

Hailing from the southern shores of Lake Garda, Tommasi's 'Le Fornaci' Riserva is a profound expression of the Turbiana grape, also known as Trebbiano di Lugana. The wine's name, meaning 'the kilns,' pays tribute to the ancient Roman brickworks discovered in the area, highlighting the region's dense, mineral-rich clay soils. This unique glacial clay, combined with the mild microclimate of the lake, imparts a remarkable structural depth and saline complexity to the wine. For the Riserva, Tommasi carefully selects the finest estate grapes, fermenting a portion in oak casks and aging the wine on its fine lees for at least 18 months. This meticulous process yields a rich, golden-hued white boasting aromas of ripe stone fruit, citrus zest, honey, and a distinct flinty minerality, balanced by a vibrant, age-worthy acidity.
