The cuvée was born when Tor Kenward and winemaker Jeff Ames were tasting through their finest barrels from Napa Valley's most prestigious vineyards, including the historic Beckstoffer To Kalon and Vine Hill Ranch. They discovered that a select handful of barrels possessed an extraordinary, almost supernatural synergy when blended together—hence the name 'Black Magic'. Produced only in exceptional vintages and in extremely limited quantities, this wine is crafted with minimal intervention, native yeast fermentation, and aged in prime French oak, resulting in a remarkably complex, opulent, and cellar-worthy masterpiece.
