While TOR Kenward Family is widely celebrated for its 'Cuvée Susan' Chardonnay, named in honor of Tor Kenward's wife Susan, the estate's red wine portfolio represents the pinnacle of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and proprietary Bordeaux-style blends. Sourced from some of the most historic and coveted vineyards in the valley—including the legendary Beckstoffer To Kalon in Oakville, Melanson Vineyard on Pritchard Hill, and Tierra Roja—TOR's red wines are crafted with a philosophy of minimal intervention. Under the guidance of winemaker Jeff Ames, the grapes undergo native yeast fermentation and are aged in prime French oak barrels before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. This traditional, hands-off approach preserves the intense, site-specific characteristics of Napa's premier terroirs, yielding reds of extraordinary depth, structural complexity, and velvety tannins that pay homage to the rich history of California winemaking.

Founded in 2001 by Napa Valley veteran Tor Kenward and his wife Susan, TOR Wines is an artisanal producer located in St. Helena, California. Drawing upon Kenward's nearly three decades of executive experience alongside legendary growers and winemakers at Beringer Vineyards, the estate is dedicated to crafting small-production, vineyard-designated wines from premier sites throughout Napa Valley. TOR focuses primarily on historic grand cru-caliber terroirs, most notably Beckstoffer To Kalon, Beckstoffer Dr. Crane, and Cimarossa Vineyard. Employing a minimalist, site-expressive winemaking philosophy, the winery is internationally celebrated for its powerful, cellar-worthy Cabernet Sauvignons, refined Chardonnays, and rare, expressive Syrahs.
