Named in honor of the year Trapiche was founded and the historic railway station that once stood beside the winery, Estacion 1883 Bonarda celebrates the railway heritage that was crucial for transporting Mendoza's wines to the world. Bonarda, historically Argentina's second most planted red grape, thrives in the sun-drenched terroirs of Mendoza. Founded in 1883 by Tiburcio Benegas, Trapiche is one of Argentina's oldest and most pioneering wineries, located in the Maipú department of Mendoza. Operating from a historic, beautifully restored Florentine-style winery built in 1912, the estate is celebrated for introducing French grape varieties and modern viticultural techniques to the region.
