✨ Technical Specifications

Named in honor of the year Trapiche was founded and the historic railway station that once stood beside the winery—linking the remote vineyards of Mendoza to the wider world—Estacion 1883 Malbec is a tribute to pioneering spirit. Crafted from hand-harvested grapes grown in high-altitude vineyards of the Uco Valley and Lujan de Cuyo, this wine showcases the classic Mendoza terroir. The high diurnal temperature variation of these Andean foothills preserves fresh acidity while allowing the grapes to develop deep color and rich, concentrated flavors. Following fermentation, the wine is typically aged for 12 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels, which imparts subtle notes of vanilla, toasted wood, and sweet spices to the lush dark fruit profile.
