Trapiche's Gran Medalla range represents a celebration of the winery's historic legacy, showcasing the potential of Mendoza's premium high-altitude terroirs. While Argentina is synonymous with Malbec, the cool-climate microclimates of the Uco Valley, situated at the foot of the Andes, provide an ideal environment for Pinot Noir. Sourced from select vineyards where cold mountain nights preserve acidity and intense daytime sun coaxes out complex aromatics, this wine is crafted with meticulous care. It undergoes gentle fermentation and aging in French oak barrels, resulting in a refined expression that balances bright red berry fruit with subtle earthy undertones and elegant spice.

Founded in 1883 by Tiburcio Benegas, Trapiche is one of Argentina's oldest and most pioneering wineries, located in the Maipú department of Mendoza. Operating from a historic, beautifully restored Florentine-style winery built in 1912, the estate is celebrated for introducing French grape varieties and modern viticultural techniques to the region. Under the guidance of renowned winemakers, Trapiche focuses on expressing the diverse terroirs of Mendoza—ranging from high-altitude Andean vineyards to their pioneering coastal estate in Chapadmalal, Buenos Aires. The winery is globally acclaimed for its exceptional Malbecs, particularly its Single Vineyard series, as well as elegant expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.
