Trapiche's Terroir Series is a celebrated annual initiative that honors the exceptional grape growers of Mendoza, showcasing the profound synergy between viticulturist, vine, and terroir. The Fausto Orellana Escobar bottling highlights a historic single vineyard located in La Consulta, San Carlos, within the high-altitude Uco Valley. Planted in 1945, these ancient, ungrafted vines thrive in sandy loam soils rich in calcium carbonate. Under the meticulous care of grower Fausto Orellana Escobar, the low-yielding old vines yield Malbec of remarkable concentration, structural depth, and mineral complexity. The wine undergoes traditional fermentation and is aged for approximately 18 months in new French oak barrels, delivering a sophisticated profile of dark plum, violets, graphite, and seamless, velvety tannins.
