Trapiche's Single Vineyard series is a tribute to the dedicated independent growers of Mendoza, with the 'Victorio Coletto' bottling standing as a crown jewel. This wine originates from a historic vineyard in El Peral, Tupungato, within the high-altitude Uco Valley. Planted in 1958, these ancient, ungrafted Malbec vines are lovingly tended by the Coletto family. At an elevation of over 1,100 meters, the dramatic diurnal temperature shifts preserve freshness while allowing the grapes to develop deep concentration. The wine is typically aged in French oak barrels, resulting in a sophisticated Malbec that weaves together intense notes of dark plums, violets, and graphite, supported by a mineral backbone and velvety tannins that reflect its unique terroir.
