โจ Technical Specifications
The Terroir Series Finca Laborde Cabernet Sauvignon is a masterclass in Argentine viticulture, proving that Mendoza's high-altitude terroirs can yield Cabernet Sauvignon of breathtaking complexity and structure. Sourced from the historic Finca Laborde in La Consulta, Uco Valley, this single-vineyard bottling pays homage to the Laborde family, who planted these ungrafted vines back in 1974. Grown in sandy loam soils at nearly 1,000 meters above sea level, the grapes benefit from intense alpine sunlight and dramatic diurnal temperature shifts. This unique microclimate preserves natural acidity while developing deep, concentrated flavors. Traditionally fermented and aged for around 18 months in French oak barrels, the resulting wine is a sophisticated expression of the varietal, characterized by dark currant fruit, subtle eucalyptus, cedar, and a savory, mineral-driven backbone that reflects its unique Andean origin.
