Named in honor of the historic Estación Villafañe, a key railway station in Mendoza that played a monumental role in transporting the region's wines to Buenos Aires and beyond during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Trapiche's Villefane (Villafañe) Malbec celebrates this rich industrial and viticultural heritage. Crafted from select vineyards in Mendoza, this wine is designed to be an approachable, fruit-forward expression of Argentina's signature grape. It undergoes traditional fermentation followed by brief aging in oak to impart subtle structure and spice while fully preserving the vibrant, juicy red and black fruit characteristics of the Malbec grape.

Founded in 1883 by Tiburcio Benegas, Trapiche is one of Argentina's oldest and most pioneering wineries, located in the Maipú department of Mendoza.
