Hailing from the 'Hill of Almonds,' Trimbach's Mandelberg Grand Cru Riesling is a masterclass in Alsatian terroir and precision. The Mandelberg vineyard, situated in the communes of Mittelwihr and Beblenheim, is famous for the almond trees that line its slopes, blooming early each spring thanks to a warm, sun-drenched microclimate protected from harsh northern winds. The soil here is a rich composition of clay and limestone, which imparts a distinctively powerful structure, rich texture, and intense minerality to the Riesling grapes. In keeping with the house's legendary style, the wine is vinified dry without malolactic fermentation, preserving its vibrant, laser-like acidity. It reveals a complex bouquet of ripe citrus, white peach, and delicate almond blossom, underpinned by a deep, saline minerality and a remarkably long, structured finish.
