Named in honor of Frédéric Emile Trimbach, who famously secured top honors for the estate at the 1898 Brussels International Exhibition, this rare Vendanges Tardives (late harvest) bottling represents the pinnacle of Alsatian Riesling. Sourced from the prestigious, marl-limestone-sandstone soils of the Geisberg and Osterberg Grand Cru vineyards that tower behind the winery in Ribeauvillé, this wine is only produced in exceptional vintages when autumn conditions allow for late-harvest concentration and noble rot. Unlike the bone-dry classic Cuvée Frédéric Emile, the Vendanges Tardives expression balances luscious residual sweetness with Trimbach's signature, razor-sharp acidity, resulting in a masterclass of tension, mineral depth, and petrol-inflected complexity.
