Named from the Latin word for 'I rejoice,' Trivento's Gaudeo series is a celebration of the extreme, high-altitude terroirs of Mendoza's Uco Valley. This single-vineyard Malbec project explores the distinct personalities of celebrated sub-appellations such as Gualtallary and Paraje Altamira, where vines struggle in poor, calcium carbonate-rich soils at elevations exceeding 1,100 meters. To honor this pristine mountain terroir, the winemaking team employs minimal intervention, utilizing concrete vessels and large, neutral oak foudres for aging. This approach coaxes out a remarkably fresh, mineral-driven profile characterized by chalky tannins, vibrant acidity, and intense floral aromas, representing a modern, elegant evolution of Argentine Malbec.
