First produced in 1963 from dry-grown grapes planted on the sandy, alluvial soils of the Hunter Valley floor, Tyrrell's Vat 1 Semillon is one of Australia's most decorated white wines. This legendary bottling epitomizes the unique Hunter Valley style: harvested early at low sugar levels, fermented cool in stainless steel, and bottled early without any oak contact. In its youth, it is tightly coiled, showing vibrant citrus and flinty minerality.
