Maison Verget, under the visionary guidance of Jean-Marie Guffens, has long challenged the rigid hierarchies of Burgundy by proving that masterful blending can rival single-vineyard prestige. The Blanc Terroirs is a brilliant expression of this philosophy, crafted as a vibrant showcase of Chardonnay sourced from carefully selected limestone-rich parcels. Guffens utilizes his signature precise winemaking techniques, including gentle pressing of the grapes and aging on fine lees in stainless steel or concrete vats to preserve the pristine fruit character. Free from heavy oak influence, this cuvee captures the pure, mineral-driven essence of the terroir, offering a beautifully balanced profile of crisp green apple, citrus, and a distinctive saline finish that reflects the ancient marine soils of the region.

Founded in 1990 by the visionary winemaker Jean-Marie Guffens and his wife Maine, Maison Verget is a highly acclaimed negociant-eleveur based in Sologny within the Maconnais region of Burgundy, France. Renowned for revolutionizing white Burgundy production, the house focuses on highlighting the distinct micro-terroirs of the region, from Macon and Chablis to the Cote d'Or, alongside select ventures in the Vaucluse. By employing precise pressing techniques, custom oak and concrete aging regimens, and minimal intervention, Verget crafts expressive, mineral-driven Chardonnay and elegant Pinot Noir. Their signature expressions, such as the Grand Elevage and various single-vineyard bottlings, are celebrated globally for their tension, purity, and exceptional value.
