Crafted by the iconoclastic Jean-Marie Guffens of Maison Verget, this Premier Cru white Burgundy showcases the exceptional terroir of the 'Les Minots' sub-climat, nestled within the prestigious Vaillons Premier Cru of Chablis. Sourced from ancient Chardonnay vines ('Vieilles Vignes') anchored in classic Kimmeridgian limestone soils rich in prehistoric marine fossils, this wine benefits from a warm microclimate that yields remarkably concentrated fruit. Guffens's winemaking philosophy shines here: utilizing precise pressing and aging in a combination of stainless steel and neutral oak to preserve the natural tension of the fruit. The result is a Chablis of immense purity, balancing a rich, textured palate of ripe citrus and white peach with a piercing, flinty minerality and a signature saline finish.

Maison Verget blev grundlagt i 1990 af den visionære belgiske vinmager Jean-Marie Guffens og hans hustru Maine Heynen i Sologny, beliggende i Mâconnais i det sydlige Bourgogne. Som en banebrydende négociant-éleveur revolutionerede huset vinproduktionen i Bourgogne med sine kompromisløse standarder for drueudvælgelse, skånsom horisontal presning samt præcis lagring på det fine bundfald med minimal brug af nyt egetræ.
