✨ Technical Specifications
Veuve Clicquot's signature Brut, famously recognized by its iconic yellow label, is the definitive ambassador of the house's style and rich heritage. Established in Reims, the house owes its legendary status to Madame Clicquot, who took the reins in 1805 and revolutionized Champagne production by inventing the riddling table to clarify the wine. This non-vintage cuvée is built on a foundation of Pinot Noir, which provides the structure, strength, and intense character so typical of the house. It is blended with Chardonnay for elegance and freshness, and Meunier for roundness. To ensure absolute consistency year after year, the master blender incorporates an exceptionally high proportion of priceless reserve wines (often 30% to 45%) sourced from multiple past harvests. Aged for a minimum of three years on its lees in the historic chalk crayères of Reims, the wine develops its signature complexity, balancing vibrant yellow fruitiness with rich brioche and vanilla notes.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot in Reims, Veuve Clicquot rose to global prominence under the visionary leadership of Madame Clicquot, the legendary Grande Dame of Champagne who took control of the house in 1805. Renowned for transformative innovations including the creation of the riddling table and the development of the first blended rosé Champagne, the Maison has shaped modern sparkling winemaking history. Anchored in premier terroirs across Champagne, the estate champions a Pinot Noir-dominant philosophy that delivers structural power, richness, and enduring freshness. Today, part of the LVMH group, the house is celebrated globally for its iconic Yellow Label Brut as well as prestige expressions like La Grande Dame and the vintage Cave Privée series.
