✨ Technical Specifications
In 1818, Madame Clicquot revolutionized the Champagne world by creating the very first blended Rosé Champagne, breaking away from the traditional method of using elderberry-based coloring. She chose instead to blend some of her finest still red wines from the Bouzy region with her classic white sparkling base. Today, Veuve Clicquot Rosé Brut continues this legacy. It is crafted by adding about 12% of still red wine, sourced from specially selected black grape parcels, to the traditional Yellow Label blend. This meticulous process ensures a harmonious balance of structure and elegance, showcasing the house's signature Pinot Noir dominance alongside the freshness of Chardonnay and the roundness of Meunier. The wine is aged for a minimum of three years on its lees in the historic chalk cellars (crayères) of Reims, resulting in a beautifully structured, copper-toned champagne with aromas of fresh red fruits, brioche, and dried fruits.
