✨ Technical Specifications
In 1818, Madame Clicquot revolutionized the Champagne world by creating the first known blended Rosé Champagne, rejecting the traditional elderberry coloring method in favor of blending her still red wine from Bouzy with her sparkling white wine. The Veuve Clicquot Vintage Rosé Brut is a direct heir to this historic innovation, crafted only in exceptional years when the harvest meets the house's rigorous standards. Pinot Noir takes center stage, providing the signature power and structure, complemented by Chardonnay's elegance and Meunier's roundness. The beautiful copper-pink hue and complex red fruit character are achieved by blending in still red wine sourced from prestigious Grand and Premier Cru parcels, followed by years of patient aging on the lees in the house's historic chalk crayères.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot in Reims, Veuve Clicquot rose to global prominence under the visionary leadership of Madame Clicquot, the legendary Grande Dame of Champagne who took control of the house in 1805. Renowned for transformative innovations including the creation of the riddling table and the development of the first blended rosé Champagne, the Maison has shaped modern sparkling winemaking history. Anchored in premier terroirs across Champagne, the estate champions a Pinot Noir-dominant philosophy that delivers structural power, richness, and enduring freshness. Today, part of the LVMH group, the house is celebrated globally for its iconic Yellow Label Brut as well as prestige expressions like La Grande Dame and the vintage Cave Privée series.
