Crafted in the southernmost corner of Alsace, this Demi-Sec white wine embodies the rich, sun-drenched terroir of Wuenheim, situated at the base of the historic Hartmannswillerkopf hill (known locally as Vieil-Armand). The wine showcases the traditional Alsatian mastery of balancing natural residual sweetness with a refreshing, spine-tingling acidity. Grown on complex soils that transition from granite slopes to silty plains, the grapes undergo a slow, temperature-controlled fermentation to preserve their delicate primary fruit aromas and floral nuances. This off-dry style pays homage to the historic preference for slightly sweeter, highly aromatic wines that once dominated the tables of European nobility, offering a lush, textured palate that remains wonderfully vibrant.

Cave du Vieil-Armand blev grundlagt i 1958 for foden af den historiske Hartmannswillerkopf-høj – kendt på fransk som Vieil Armand – og er et anerkendt kooperativ beliggende i den sydalsassiske landsby Wuenheim. Huset trækker på en enestående mosaik af terroirs, herunder de historiske vinmarker ved Château d'Ollwiller, og samler passionerede lokale vinbønder med en fælles dedikation til autentisk regionalt håndværk og bæredygtig vindyrkning. Vingården er kendt for en alsidig portefølje, der spænder fra klassiske, stille Alsace AOC-enkeltdruevine på eksempelvis Sylvaner og Pinot Gris til elegante Crémants d'Alsace fremstillet efter den traditionelle metode samt frugtbrændevine og likører af høj håndværksmæssig kvalitet – alle præget af en ekspressiv, aromatisk renhed og en flot, spændstig syrebalance.
