The Private Bin East Coast Chardonnay is a celebrated expression of the country's maritime climate, traditionally sourcing fruit from premier vineyards across the East Coast, including Marlborough, Gisborne, and Hawke's Bay. This multi-regional approach allows the winemakers to craft a consistently vibrant and balanced Chardonnay. The wine is fermented primarily in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve its bright tropical fruit character—dominated by ripe peach, melon, and citrus—while a portion undergoes malolactic fermentation and light oak aging to introduce a subtle, creamy texture and soft vanilla undertones. It represents the pioneering spirit of Villa Maria, delivering an approachable yet beautifully structured New Zealand Chardonnay.
