Villa Maria's Seaspray Sauvignon Blanc is a captivating expression of Marlborough's coastal terroir, sourced from a single vineyard in the rugged Awatere Valley. Situated close to the turbulent Pacific Ocean, the vines are constantly buffeted by cool sea breezes, which deposit microscopic salt particles onto the grape skins—a phenomenon that imparts a distinctive, mouth-watering saline minerality to the finished wine. Founded in 1961 by Sir George Fistonich with just an acre of vines, Villa Maria has grown into a pioneering force in New Zealand winemaking. The Seaspray bottling showcases the cooler, more dramatic side of the region, defined by intense jalapeño, fresh-cut grass, and bright lime citrus notes, backed by a flinty, sea-salt finish that reflects its maritime heritage. Fermented cool in stainless steel tanks, it preserves the absolute purity and electric acidity of the Sauvignon Blanc grape.

Villa Maria blev grundlagt i 1961 af Sir George Fistonich og står i dag som et af New Zealands mest anerkendte og banebrydende vinhuse.
