Situated on the steep, sun-drenched slopes of the Rheingau overlooking the Rhine River, this vineyard benefit from a unique microclimate where the water acts as a mirror, reflecting sunlight and heat back onto the vines. The soils here are a complex mix of slate, quartzite, and gravel, which absorb heat during the day and radiate it back at night. With family viticultural heritage in Rüdesheim tracing back to 1744, Weingut Leitz began a dynamic modern era when Johannes Leitz took helm of the family estate in 1985.
