While Weingut Leitz is globally synonymous with world-class Riesling, Johannes Leitz has also mastered the elegant art of Weissburgunder. The 'W' Weissburgunder is a tribute to this versatile grape, sourced from vineyards in the Rheingau where loess, clay, and limestone soils provide the perfect foundation for Pinot Blanc to thrive. Unlike the razor-sharp acidity of the estate's steep-slope Rieslings, the 'W' is crafted to emphasize a rounder, more harmonious, and creamy texture. Fermented in stainless steel to preserve its bright, primary fruit characteristics, it undergoes brief lees contact to enhance its mid-palate weight. This wine represents a modern, highly sophisticated expression of German Pinot Blanc, showcasing the estate's ability to coax refinement and mineral complexity from varieties beyond their signature Riesling.

Weingut Leitz, located in the historic town of Rüdesheim am Rhein in Germany's Rheingau region, traces its winemaking heritage back to 1744. Under the visionary leadership of Johannes Leitz, who took over the family estate in 1985, the winery has earned international acclaim for its exceptional, terroir-driven Rieslings. The estate meticulously manages some of the Rheingau's most prestigious steep-slope grand cru vineyards, including Rüdesheimer Berg Schlossberg, Berg Rottland, and Berg Roseneck. Renowned for their remarkable purity, vibrant acidity, and deep minerality, Leitz's wines range from bone-dry expressions to luscious, noble sweet Beerenauslese and Trockenbeerenauslese, alongside a pioneering range of premium non-alcoholic wines.
