The 'Goldgrube' (meaning golden grave or gold mine) consists of weathered grey slate soils that impart a signature intense minerality. Established in 2000 by the late Swiss winemaker Daniel Vollenweider, Weingut Vollenweider is located in Traben-Trarbach in the Mosel region of Germany.
