Serving as the essential calling card of the historic Wittmann estate, the Riesling Trocken QbA is a masterclass in estate-level precision. Sourced from biodynamically farmed vineyards across the limestone-rich slopes of Westhofen in the Rheinhessen, this dry Riesling captures the vibrant energy of the region. The Wittmann family, who have cultivated vines here since the 17th century, ferment the juice using indigenous yeasts in their deep, cool vaulted cellars, utilizing a combination of traditional large oak casks and stainless steel. The result is a wine that beautifully balances the natural tension of Riesling with a distinct, stony minerality derived from the local terra rossa and limestone soils, offering a pure and expressive snapshot of the estate's legendary terroir.

Weingut Wittmann har rødder i Westhofen helt tilbage til 1663 og regnes i dag blandt Tysklands mest indflydelsesrige pionerer inden for økologisk og biodynamisk vinbrug i Wonnegau-området i Rheinhessen. Under visionær ledelse af Philipp Wittmann og hans familie omlagde vinhuset til økologisk dyrkning i 1990 og opnåede fuld biodynamisk certificering i 2004. Wittmanns filosofi bygger på kompromisløs pleje af vinmarkerne, spontangæring med det naturlige gær og lagring på traditionelle, neutrale egetræsfade for at give det reneste udtryk for det kalkrige terroir på legendariske VDP.Grosse Lage-marker som Morstein, Kirchspiel, Aulerde og Brunnenhäuschen. Vingården er verdensberømt for sine skelsættende tørre Grosses Gewächs-Rieslinger, der brillerer med krystalklar præcision, spændstighed og kalket mineralitet, men mestrer i lige så høj grad exceptionelle ædelsøde botrytis-vine samt elegante Pinot Noir-vine.
