The President's Selection Shiraz is a cornerstone of the Wolf Blass portfolio, first conceived in the mid-1970s as a tribute to the exceptional quality of South Australian Shiraz. Wolfgang Blass, a pioneer of multi-regional blending, sought to craft a wine that combined the rich, plush fruit of the Barossa Valley with the structural elegance of McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek. This wine is celebrated for its generous, full-bodied character, defined by intense dark berry flavors, subtle spice, and a velvety texture achieved through careful maturation in a combination of seasoned French and American oak barrels. It stands as a testament to the winery's historic philosophy of creating highly approachable yet cellar-worthy wines that capture the sun-drenched essence of South Australia's premier vineyards.

Wolf Blass blev grundlagt i 1966 af den tyskfødte vinmager Wolfgang Blass. Huset startede i et ydmygt blikskur i Sydaustraliens berømte Barossa Valley, men voksede hurtigt til et af landets mest hæderkronede og ikoniske vinhuse.
