Established in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii near Kyoto, the Yamazaki Distillery is the birthplace of Japanese whisky. The Owner's Cask program, which ran from 2004 to 2010, offered private collectors the rare opportunity to purchase individual, hand-selected casks. Cask No 5P70205, matured in a hogshead cask and bottled in 2007, represents an ultra-rare snapshot of Yamazaki's artisanal distillation.
