✨ Technical Specifications
Zonin's Cuvée 1821 Extra Dry is a celebration of history, named in honor of the year the Zonin family began their winemaking legacy in Gambellara, Veneto. Crafted from the Glera grape cultivated in the favored terroirs of the Prosecco DOC, this sparkling wine represents the quintessential Italian aperitivo culture. It is produced using the Charmat method, where secondary fermentation occurs in pressurized stainless steel tanks to preserve the delicate, primary aromas of white peach, green apple, and wisteria blossoms. The 'Extra Dry' designation imparts a softly rounded, off-dry profile, beautifully balanced by a refreshing, crisp acidity and a fine, persistent mousse.
🍾 About the Producer
Established in 1821 in Gambellara within the province of Vicenza, Zonin stands as one of Italy's most influential and historically significant wine dynasties. Across seven generations, the Zonin family expanded from their ancestral volcanic soils in the foothills of the Lessini Mountains to acquire top-tier estates spanning Friuli Venezia Giulia, Tuscany, Piedmont, Lombardy, Puglia, and Sicily. Viticulture emphasizes sustainability and regional authenticity across more than 1,500 hectares of family-managed vineyards. The estate’s winemaking philosophy fuses modern temperature-controlled stainless steel vinification and precision Charmat method effervescence with time-honored barrel aging for structured reds. Celebrated internationally for pioneering the global prominence of Prosecco DOC—typified by its fresh, aromatic Cuvée 1821—Zonin also crafts classical expressions of Pinot Grigio Delle Venezie, native Veneto whites like Gambellara Classico, and the approachable Ventiterre line, delivering pure varietal typicity rooted in Italian terroir.
