Crafted by the historic Maison Albert Bichot, founded in Beaune in 1831, the 'Horizon' Pinot Noir represents a modern exploration of France's most noble red grape. Stepping outside the strict confines of traditional Burgundian appellations, this cuvée is a 'Vin de France' that blends Bichot's centuries of Burgundian winemaking expertise with carefully selected Pinot Noir grapes from diverse terroirs, notably cooler-climate parcels in the South of France such as Limoux. This unique approach marries the sunny generosity of the south with the elegant, mineral-driven structure characteristic of northern climates. Fermented primarily in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve its vibrant red fruit character, a small portion is aged in oak to impart subtle complexity and soft tannins, resulting in an approachable, fresh, and beautifully balanced expression of Pinot Noir.

Maison Albert Bichot blev grundlagt i 1831 af Bernard Bichot og er et traditionsrigt, familieejet vinhus med base i Beaune i Bourgogne. Gennem seks generationer har familien opbygget en dyb vinøs arv, og i dag ledes huset af Albéric Bichot. Vinhuset råder over seks markante, selvstændige domæner, der strækker sig over de legendariske terroirs i Chablis, Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise og Beaujolais. Med et stærkt fokus på bæredygtighed og certificeret økologisk dyrkning arbejder Albert Bichot med en minutiøs parcel-for-parcel-vinificering for at indfange den unikke renhed og karakter i hvert enkelt climat. Huset nyder stor international anerkendelse for sine terroirtro vine på Pinot Noir og Chardonnay, der spænder fra charmerende Village-vine til mytiske Grand Cru-aftapninger som Bonnes-Mares og prestigefyldte Monopoles.
