✨ wine.spec_sheet

Hailing from the Côte Chalonnaise in Burgundy, Albert Bichot's white 'Les Picotins' is a beautifully crafted expression of 100% Chardonnay. The grapes are sourced from the 'Les Picotins' climat in the Mercurey appellation, where the soils are rich in limestone and clay, imparting a distinct mineral core to the wine. Mercurey itself takes its name from the Roman god Mercury, who had a temple erected here in antiquity. Albert Bichot, a historic house founded in 1831, vinifies this wine with a careful balance of stainless steel and oak barrel aging. This method preserves the vibrant, fresh orchard fruit and white flower aromas while adding a subtle, creamy texture and delicate notes of toasted brioche and hazelnut.
