✨ Technical Specifications
Hailing from the prestigious Fumane hills in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico zone, Allegrini's Fieramonte Riserva is a legendary Amarone that represents a triumphant resurrection. Originally celebrated in the mid-20th century, the south-facing Fieramonte vineyard was left unproduced for over two decades until the Allegrini family meticulously replanted it, releasing its modern revival with the 2011 vintage. The wine is crafted from a traditional blend dominated by Corvina Veronese and Corvinone, alongside Rondinella and Oseleta. The grapes undergo the traditional appassimento process, drying naturally for several months to concentrate their sugars, aromatics, and structural elements. Following a slow fermentation, the wine is aged for approximately 48 months in French oak casks. This meticulous process yields an Amarone of extraordinary depth, balancing intense dark fruit, balsamic undertones, and exotic spices with a vibrant mineral backbone derived from the vineyard's steep, calcareous clay soils.
🍾 About the Producer
Rooted in the Valpolicella Classica region since the sixteenth century, Allegrini stands as one of Italy's most revered and innovative winemaking estates, having been transformed into a global icon under the visionary leadership of Giovanni Allegrini in the mid-twentieth century. Based in Fumane within the Veneto region, the family-run estate harmoniously marries time-honored traditions with pioneering cellar and viticultural techniques, such as modernizing the traditional appassimento process. Allegrini is celebrated worldwide for its benchmark Amarone della Valpolicella Classico as well as prestigious single-vineyard crus like La Grola and the pure Corvina masterwork La Poja, alongside the acclaimed Palazzo della Torre. Expanding across Veneto with projects such as Corte Giara and artisanal grappas, the producer remains an enduring standard-bearer of Italian elegance and quality.
