Hailing from the historic Castello della Sala estate, a breathtaking medieval fortress built in 1350 and acquired by the Antinori family in 1940, Bramito della Sala (historically known as Bramito del Cervo) is a masterful expression of Umbrian Chardonnay. The wine's name, meaning 'bellow of the stag,' evokes the wild, pristine woodlands surrounding the castle. Crafted from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in vineyards rich in clay and calcareous soils, the wine benefits from the estate's unique microclimate, characterized by cool night breezes and warm days. To preserve its vibrant fruit character and elegant structure, a portion of the must is fermented in French oak barrels where it undergoes malolactic fermentation, while the remainder is fermented in stainless steel. This harmonious blend of techniques yields a wine of remarkable freshness, minerality, and delicate notes of vanilla and tropical fruit, embodying the rich winemaking heritage of the region.
