✨ Technical Specifications

Born in the prestigious Bolgheri amphitheater at the historic Tenuta Guado al Tasso estate, "Il Bruciato" (meaning "the burnt") is a modern classic that pays homage to a fiery local legend. In the 18th century, angry local residents allegedly burned down a portion of the estate's forests in protest against the ruling Della Gherardesca family's strict land-use laws. Today, this Bolgheri DOC red is crafted primarily from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. The grapes are sourced from vineyards planted on alluvial soils rich in silt and clay. After a careful fermentation process, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in a combination of barriques and stainless steel before aging in French oak barriques for around 12 months. The result is a fragrant, intense, and harmonious Super Tuscan that beautifully reflects the warm maritime climate of the Tuscan coast.

🍾 About the Producer

Tracing its winemaking heritage back to 1385 when Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Guild of Florentine Winemakers, Marchesi Antinori stands as one of the world's most enduring and influential wine dynasties. For more than twenty-six generations, the family has balanced deep reverence for Tuscan tradition with bold, pioneering innovation, most notably catalyzing the Super Tuscan revolution in the late 20th century. Based at their architecturally stunning headquarters in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, the estate oversees prestigious properties across Tuscany, Umbria, and beyond, with viticulture dedicated to capturing the distinct soul of each terroir. Today, led by Marchese Piero Antinori alongside his daughters Albiera, Allegra, and Alessia, the house produces iconic masterpieces including the legendary Sangiovese-Cabernet blend Tignanello, the opulent Solaia, and the benchmark Italian white Cervaro della Sala.
