Villa Antinori Riserva represents a historic milestone for the legendary Antinori family, one of Italy's oldest winemaking dynasties. First created in 1928 by Marchese Niccolò Antinori, this wine was crafted with the ambitious goal of proving that Tuscan wines could age beautifully and stand alongside the finest in the world. Sourced from the family's premium estate vineyards across the Chianti Classico zone, the blend is dominated by Sangiovese, complemented by small portions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The wine undergoes careful aging in French and Hungarian oak barrels, resulting in a harmonious profile that marries vibrant red cherry and plum notes with subtle hints of spice, leather, and toasted wood. It stands as a testament to the family's enduring legacy of blending tradition with modern innovation.

Marchesi Antinori er et af verdens mest traditionsrige og indflydelsesrige vindynastier med rødder, der går helt tilbage til 1385, hvor Giovanni di Piero Antinori blev optaget i det florentinske vinmagerlaug. Gennem mere end 26 generationer har familien forenet en dyb respekt for toscansk vintradition med modig nytænkning – ikke mindst som afgørende drivkraft bag Supertoscaner-revolutionen i slutningen af det 20. århundrede.
