Averys of Bristol has a legendary history of sourcing exceptional wines from classic European regions. For their Fine Riesling, they turned to the sun-drenched Pfalz region in Germany, historically known as the 'Tuscany of Germany' due to its warm, mild climate and the protective shield of the Haardt mountains. This unique terroir allows the Riesling grapes to ripen fully, yielding a wine with generous stone fruit aromas, vibrant citrus, and a characteristic mineral backbone. The partnership between historic British merchant blending expertise and traditional German viticulture results in a beautifully balanced, expressive Riesling that honors both the Pfalz's rich winemaking heritage and Averys' centuries-old reputation for quality selection.

Averys blev grundlagt i Bristol i 1793 og hører til blandt Storbritanniens ældste og mest agtede vinhandlere og négociants. Gennem generationer har visionære personligheder som Ronald Avery og sønnen John Avery MW opbygget huset, der var blandt de første til at opdage og importere toneangivende vine direkte fra klassiske europæiske områder og fremadstormende oversøiske terroirs. Averys er berømt for sin historiske ekspertise inden for fadlagring og aftapning på egne kældre.
