Averys of Bristol, with over two centuries of merchant heritage, has long excelled at sourcing exceptional wines that represent the quintessential character of their regions. For their Signature Prosecco, they turned to the picturesque, sun-drenched hills of Veneto in northeastern Italy. Crafted from the native Glera grape, this sparkling white wine is produced using the Charmat method in stainless steel autoclaves, which beautifully preserves the grape's delicate, primary aromatics. The terroir of the region—characterized by mineral-rich clay-limestone soils and a climate moderated by both the Adriatic Sea and the nearby Alps—imparts a vibrant acidity and crisp freshness to the wine, making it a classic representation of Italian sparkling elegance curated by a historic British merchant.

Averys blev grundlagt i Bristol i 1793 og hører til blandt Storbritanniens ældste og mest agtede vinhandlere og négociants. Gennem generationer har visionære personligheder som Ronald Avery og sønnen John Avery MW opbygget huset, der var blandt de første til at opdage og importere toneangivende vine direkte fra klassiske europæiske områder og fremadstormende oversøiske terroirs. Averys er berømt for sin historiske ekspertise inden for fadlagring og aftapning på egne kældre. I dag kuraterer og fremstiller huset en alsidig portefølje, der favner alt fra prestigefyldte bordeauxvine, bourgogne grand crus og champagne til årgangsportvin, madeira og udsøgt cognac.
