For centuries, British merchants shipped pipes of Port from the Douro Valley to be matured and bottled in their own cool, damp cellars. Averys' Vintage Finest Reserve represents this grand tradition of merchant-selected Vintage Port. Sourced from exceptional parcels in the Cima Corgo subregion of the Douro, these wines were selected for their structure, concentration, and potential to develop over decades. The wine undergoes traditional foot-treading in stone lagares before being fortified and shipped. This historic style of Port is celebrated for its deep ruby-purple hue, complex aromas of dark bramble fruit, warming spice, and integration of spirit that only comes with patient cellar aging.
