Hailing from the cool, maritime-influenced hills of Bairrada, the Aliança Baga Reserva Bruto is a brilliant showcase of the region's signature red grape, Baga, vinified as a white sparkling wine (Blanc de Noirs). Aliança, a historic house founded in 1927 and now part of the Bacalhôa family, has long been a pioneer in the traditional method sparkling wines of Portugal. Crafted from grapes grown on classic clay-limestone soils, this sparkling wine undergoes a gentle pressing without skin contact to preserve its pale color and high natural acidity. The cool Atlantic breezes preserve the freshness of the fruit, while lees aging imparts a creamy texture and delicate autolytic complexity, paying homage to Bairrada's rich sparkling heritage.
