Hailing from the rugged and sun-drenched Douro Superior, Quatro Ventos Superior Tinto is born in the historic Quinta dos Quatro Ventos—the 'Estate of the Four Winds.' The name pays homage to the powerful, sweeping winds that buffet the high-altitude schist terraces of this remote subregion. These constant breezes play a vital role in moderating the intense summer heat, preserving the natural acidity and freshness of the grapes. Crafted from classic Douro varieties, this wine captures the wild, untamed spirit of the valley, combining dense dark fruit flavors with a distinct mineral backbone derived from the ancient schist soils. It is traditionally matured in French oak casks to impart structure, velvety tannins, and subtle notes of spice and toast.
