✨ wine.spec_sheet

Castello Banfi, established in 1978 by the Italian-American Mariani brothers, revolutionized the viticultural landscape of Montalcino. Belnero, which translates to "beautiful dark," is a modern tribute to the strength and character of the estate's terroir. Crafted primarily from Sangiovese—the soul of Tuscan winemaking—and complemented by small portions of French varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this Toscana IGT showcases a harmonious marriage of tradition and innovation. The grapes are harvested from estate vineyards characterized by clay and limestone soils, then fermented in hybrid French oak and stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged for approximately twelve months in French oak barriques and casks, resulting in a deeply expressive red that captures the sun-drenched warmth of southern Tuscany alongside refined structure and vibrant dark fruit notes.
