Castello Banfi, founded in the late 1970s by the Italian-American Mariani brothers, is legendary for modernizing Tuscan winemaking. The Centine line takes its name from a historic, nineteenth-century stone farmhouse located on the sprawling estate in the southern hills of Montalcino. Centine Rose is a contemporary expression of Tuscan terroir, typically blending the region's signature Sangiovese with international varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes undergo a brief maceration on the skins to extract a delicate pink hue, followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. This process avoids oak contact entirely, preserving the bright, primary fruit characteristics of wild strawberry, fresh cherry, and subtle floral notes that define this refreshing, dry Tuscan rose.
