While the historic house of Banfi is globally renowned for its Tuscan masterpieces, its sparkling wine heritage is deeply rooted in Piedmont at their Strevi estate. 'Tener' represents a creative departure from traditional regional styles, marrying the aromatic vivacity of Sauvignon Blanc with the elegant structure of Chardonnay. Produced using the Metodo Martinotti (Charmat method) to preserve the pristine, vibrant fruit characteristics, this sparkling wine captures the cool-climate freshness of the Piedmontese hills. The name 'Tener' itself evokes tenderness and grace, reflecting the soft, persistent mousse and harmonious balance achieved by blending these two noble international varieties in Italian soil.

Banfi blev grundlagt i 1978 af de italiensk-amerikanske brødre John og Harry Mariani og har sit hjerte omkring den historiske middelalderfæstning Castello di Poggio alle Mura i toscanske Montalcino. Vingården spillede en afgørende rolle i den moderne renæssance for Brunello di Montalcino gennem banebrydende klonforskning i Sangiovese, topmoderne vinifikationsteknikker og et kompromisløst fokus på miljømæssig bæredygtighed.
